What is the statute of limitations in TX for prosecuting for forging prescriptions?

A family member forged narcotic prescriptions in the state of TX and I asked if she knew how long the state had to press charges and she doesn't know. It's been about 6 months since the last prescription was written/redeemed. Does anyone know how long the state has to press charges before the statute of limitations runs out? Thanks!
