Basketball Fowards/Centers and long range shooting?

It all has to do with the evolution of the game. Big men in NBA were always pound it inside and dominate the paint, so big men were never realy required to hit the 20 footers and there were no three point lines. As far as Shaq he is an example of what USA big men are suppose to be. While overseas big men on offense are just like the forwards expanding their games beyond the 10 footers and hook shot in the paint and extending it from ball handling to 20 footers to beyond 3 point lines. NBA's meaning of big men was always throw it down and rough while the international big men have changed the game with their athleticism and mobility and ball handling skills.
