I want to get my nose pierced.?

i really want to get my nose pierced suddenly. i'm a cheerleader, and i know i'm not allowed to wear a nose ring, but maybe a retainer.. ive read about it and ive read that you wait a couple months to take it out but if i would get it like.. really soon then it would have one month until i would have to change it to the retainer once a week for games. is that a bad idea? or could my piercing heal with the retainer? can i even leave the retainer in all the time? or is it too early to even use a retainer?
