Facebook Marketplace scam help!

I had a scam going on a sale site here in Canada...man, does it sound similar to the one you just wrote...but some differences. But the guy's name was "James Brown"...at a hot mail account. He said he was from out of State as well...but never told me where. I canned the deal before any "fake cheque" arrived...which of course, none ever did. I'm somewhat suspicious of where he is from?? Never ever heard of it before... You can always send the cheque back to him, and withdraw the deal. No... FBI could give a rats as* about sales on Facebook....hopefully they have more to do with their time !!
