How long for a knee subluxation to heal?

I subluxed (aka partially dislocated) my left knee almost 5 weeks ago, and I'm still experiencing pain on and off when walking, as well as continuous, minor swelling. I've already seen 4 doctors who all say I didn't tear anything, and that I just have to do physio to strengthen the muscles to try to stabilize my knee. But is this normal to still be experiencing this much pain when it's been more than a month since it happened? How long should it take for it to FULLY heal so that I can get back to my regular activities without any pain or discomfort??
