DirecTV watermark and automatic sleep mode?

How can I turn off the DirecTV watermark in the lower right corner of the screen? "It says authorization is about to expire. call customer service. (725)" and after about 5 minutes of watching without hitting any ons on the remote, the screen goes off and the direcTV symbol is the screen saver. How can I turn those off?
