Can't sleep... can't eat.?

I hv this problem for 2 weeks now. My sleep is very erratic, & no matter how much my stomach is growling, I just can't seem to hv any appetite to eat. & when I do force myself to eat, I'll just take a few spoons. Last night I had a break down and cried myself to sleep, which is the 1st decent sleep I had in 2 weeks. Went to the doctor this morning and explained my condition, but he did not say anything much, besides giving me some gastric pills and multi vitamin pills. It's past my lunch time and I still do not hv any appetite. Can anyone explain what is happening to me? Ps. I'm 30+, financially stable, married with a kid. So, in life, I am quite ok... I guess.
